What if You Find the Blog Never Update?

Maybe I'm looking for a more effective blogging way this time. I keep my blog update everyday, and I'd love you to find out here.

RyanB, give me lots of useful suggestion here, and we are in "hot" chating

some blogs're in progress of coverting rss into html, then make them auto updated blogs

RSS is just taking a post and exporting the gathered information on a post and exporting it to a format that something else can read it. RSS has nothing to do with the fact that you, me, or some other person doesn't update with new posts.

ryanb, actually, there're sites, maybe app. for making it happen. Accoding to the philosophy that make the post as a rss reader for a certain feed.

But first we have a cooprorate rss feed generator. And I hope coco will make this first. Following is some new features I'm looking for coco to develop out. I posted on coco's forum.

More kinds of rss content choice

Feed for tracking all comments from a single blog;
Fedds for tracking only the comments from a single post.
Feeds for tracking comments for a tag search result, such as list all of the comments about cocomment by input the tag "coco" smile

Conversation Rank , Conversation Tag.........

There're people rank and blogs rank here now, but when the conversation rank and tag (rank) aggregation come out? So that we can find out the hottest commented post easier.

Your first and second reply makes no sense whatsoever.
The point of feed burner is to make you able to track feeds not make them.

There is already a way to track all comments for a blog versus one post. It depends on the service. Blogger does not do this, but Wordpress does. See: http://rbenson.wordpress.com/comments/feed/
here's a rss feed for all comments for my blog as a whole. coComment doesn't have control of this at all.
Your third feed want makes no sense. If you want to track what posts are being read and what is searched for, you need a stats plug-in like Mint, to track stats. not a feed.

ok, there're ways to make rss to html, script or app. Now here's a sampling. I still have no time to test for the best solution suite. But I know what's the steps, in clear understand.
1. find the an html page interested me, and it must keep updating.
2. find the way to generate this page into rss.
3. convert the rss back into html and post the covertor on a blog post.

Comment Feed is provided on my blog too. Yes, since I host on blogger, I have to generate my comment feed by a third party support, wordpress is so great to make it a build-in service. But it can just track comments on a single blog. Check it out here.

For example, there're maybe hundreads and thousands blog posts talking about the super Bowl. Then even more comments come out. How can you aggregate all the pages of comments into one feed? There're even tough work for you to collect these before you make it a feed. But I believe cocomment have potential to finish this, by searching the comment traking maintained on their server, then generate a feed for the search result page.

Oops, I forgot the feed add.

And here's how I made it. Maybe it's not the most optimized solution. Tracking comments from one site, one post, depending on how hot this site or post is. Well, my view is, not extensive for reviewing.

There is no way to make RSS into an app. You can make applications that READ feeds. Hence why there is Firefox/mozilla/IE/etc to read php, html, etc files.
Say you like microsoft.com because it posts news. You cannot make that site into a feed yourself. Feeds are made in the code, not the front end, what we see.
For this page is the same, you need to ask Blogger to make a feed per post for comments. CoComment has NO control over this. For example if you look at the comments foor this post on coComment, you see carlos' comment doesn't show up because he doesn't have it. I think you think coComment sees comments by looking at a feed, and thats not the case

Yeah, Let me make a checkpoint mark here. And back to the topic, what I'm seeking for is a auto updated blog, because we lack of time to keep updating 3 or 5 posts everyday.

HTML Page--to-->RSS Feed--to-->BLOGGER Post, the first road map come into my mind, and it's brough in by cocomment. Because it tracks commment, the most frequently updated element in blogosphere.

Carlos' comment, up to now, you're right that it won't be displayed. And I believe that's because cocommment has not developed great enough to impress as a huge amount of users as google, yahoo, flickr.....

Think about that, how many times we posted a comment under a blog, then copied and pasted it to another and another......Why not make a high efficiency mechanism, post your single comment to multiple topic related blogs by a one time entry.

Well ok. There is issues with your map. Where is this HTML page coming from. If you are porting say my blogger and wordpress feeds to post on your blog I see many issues. 1) I would still need to update my respective blogs for you to get the posts. 2)If I found out that you made it so my posts came into this blog without giving me credit, I'd be pissed. And if you are just are porting in and that's all there is no way to give that credit.

Carlos and other people may just not have heard about coComment. If I haven't have read Scoble's post morning I'd doubt I'd hear about it until 3days later.

I have never pasted the same comment anywhere. I may have said similar things like cool, thanks. But if you posted the same thing to a blog I would consider it spam. For example if you went to my blog and said 'Ryan sucks go to my blog' i'd consider that as spam.

At 2/16/2006 11:51:00 PM, Blogger Ceta Mac said...

OK, I consider this as a technique exchange. Suppose, I paid you the credit for updating your blog, or paid for cocomment for aggregating the comment HTML pages......maybe then I will make money on this. How about the rest?

PS: I'm sorry for making a debate with Steph at your place.

At 2/17/2006 04:20:00 PM, Blogger RyanB said...

How on earth is this an exchange. I am telling you how RSS works because all you are telling me is that you don't know how RSS works. You think that any page you like, say you like this comment page, an RSS feed can be made for it. This cannot be done from the view we are looking at now. As a blogger user you could ask them (blogger) to add RSS feeds to comments. I can do a write up about coComment if you wish on my blog about how it works.

Don't ever do that nor post multiple comments within minutes of each other.

ah, I'm running on the way.
Something more, you get my promise for the cocommentosphere. Sorry for the rough behaviors I ever made.

pity, dude.

我们之间是否因为语言障碍而出现沟通上的误会了?

Are we making a communication gap because of language block that leads to a misunderstand with each other?

I do think its a language gap. Maybe your lack of enlish makes it so you cannot say what you are trying to.
